Got a new e-newsletter from palm.com today.
They have started a Treo 650 promotion selling it for as low as $299 after rebate — $100 off.

This usually means there is a new version in the near future.

Yep.. I agree...My Treo 600 Sprint contract is up for renewal Oct 7. I am waiting anxiously to see if I go Treo 650 or the next version.

Is this new? I recall there being a $100 rebate offerred before...

Anyhow, I don't think there will be a new Treo released until early next year...
