A few confirmed specs: Windows Mobile 5.0, one megapixel camera, EV-DO, Bluetooth, 64MB of memory, still trying to conclusively determine the resolution of the display, but it looks to our eyes like it’s 240 x 240 pixels, not 320 x 320

These are obvious fakes! Photoshopped at best! Ha!

240x240 screen
you still have to take off the back cover to reset
no built in wifi
looks almost exactly the same.
So the only difference is a bit more memory and WM5. Whats the point?

You really think so?
I just find it baffling that they would release a new Treo with hardly ANNY upgrades to it....after all the complaining about the Treo 650, I figured they would pull out the stops on the new one....
....or then again....maybe I'm not surprised....

Improvements:
BT 1.2 (thats what I thought someone said)
More memory (granted a bigger OS)
1mp camera (*should take better photos and possibly videos)
EVDO (great for those in the markets)
Wifi option (a real option without carrying a sled)
WM5 (now those that love treo form factor but have been on the 'darkside' can climb aboard)
Whats not to love? :)

WiFi - anything that's not integrated anymore is worthless. How do you compromise storage (SD) to switch to data (SDIO)? And do you REALLY want that skinny SD card dsticking out the top of your PDA all the time - no way. It's an incredible cop-out to not integrate the WiFi in the unit.

WiFi - anything that's not integrated anymore is worthless.Worthless? That's a pretty strong word. Not as useful as built in...yes. More useful than a sled...yes.
How do you compromise storage (SD) to switch to data (SDIO)? Arguably with the extra memory, you won't need the sd for program storage (and we havent heard if the combo card will work. :D )
And do you REALLY want that skinny SD card dsticking out the top of your PDA all the time - no way.You assume that I would use wifi 'all the time'. I would only use it when I am at a hotspot...otherwise its EVDO (assuming you are in the market). Now I would have the option...on the 650, you cant really use the wifi sd card.
It's an incredible cop-out to not integrate the WiFi in the unit.I know that this has been said before...I don't think the carriers want you to have wifi. Even so, the fact that the OS has the drivers for the sd card...awesome.
