ARM to deliver 1Ghz processing chip!!!

geared for mobile devices, the new arm chip will be far more powerful than the current chips in use today! if palm uses it, this new chip will allow a treo to become a full-fledged media device with amazing possibilities.

Do any of you guys know : Does it matter what the OS is? For example - Can we have the same OS and Memory as we do w/ the 650 with this chip? Or does this require new OS ? (either MS 5.0, Palm Garent 5.X or Cobalt?)

Just curious as to what this realistic means for us little guys
